WHY LAW?
This however can be viewed in two angles that is whether or not law is necessary in a society or Why students or scholars Study law. Nevertheless It is seen that if man can protect himself and avoid problems, he his indeed not worthy to be bound by the law because his deeds are pure but man generally where born differently, hence one may be good and the other bad, in this case law is obviously necessary.
Looked differently the Law is made by legislature, and the Judiciary are meant to interpret them, in other to ensure Justice. Hence a society without law is like a "man without eyes", a man without eyes goes anywhere and can cause chaos, just like a society without law. Thus every citizen in a particular society needs the Law in other to be protected from activities undertaking by any individual, in which case the individuals conduct affects his life and safety and the general society.
The law serves several important features in a society
1.The law is important for a society for it serves as a norm of conduct for citizens. 
2.The law is important because it acts as a guideline as to what is accepted in society. Without it there would be conflicts between social groups and communities. It is pivotal that we follow them.
3.The law is important because it makes use to understand our adjudicatory system 
4. The law is important because it sets limits of action for every individual
5.The law is important because scholars, students are meant to understand the various areas in law
